In the last couple of days the flies have become overwhelming in my house. I have probably killed hundreds of the little boogers. It can’t be because of the cold, since this isn’t the first time it has gotten cold since fall began, so it must be from the wet. We have actually had a fair amount of rain over the last few days, which must be driving them inside.  I just love personalized hats. Living in an older farmhouse isn’t helping either, I’m sure. There are just too many small cracks and such that a fly (or a hundred) can find to get in. And I am sick to death of them all! If only I could make my house air tight, then they wouldn’t be able to find a way in. Then again if that were the case, an airtight house would prove to be a tad bit problematic for us humans thus rendering the fly issue a moot point.  I will say, I can’t wait for dryer weather again because I am sick to death of the buzzing and also of cleaning up the fly guts of those that have given up their lives in the line of duty.
